Lent & Prayer Stations

This week’s session has many mix-and-match components.

Option 1: Reconciliation

Every Catholic should go to confession at least once a year (usually during Lent). GO TODAY if you are unable to make it any other time. This is THE most important thing you could do today.

Other confession opportunities:

  • Lenten Reconciliation Service (March 30, 6:30pm)

  • Saturdays (3-4pm)

Option 2: Hospitality Ministry Training

Begins at 10:15am.

Option 3: Confirmation Preparation

  • Letter to the Archbishop (handwritten or typed; template available here). This is a REQUIREMENT and the final letter is due (paper copy or emailed) to Anna by March 27 (we bundle them together and will send them in one package).

  • Baptismal Certificates. These MUST be on file before Confirmation; if you did not submit yours at the beginning of the year, we will remind you this weekend.

  • Service Projects. If you’ve not started yours yet, please confirm details with Anna this weekend).

  • Liturgical Ministry. Sign up for one and attend its training (Hospitality’s happens during class today).

  • Minister AT Confirmation Mass. Sign up sheet for Confirmandi and parents.

Option 4: Prayer Stations

(Instructions)

  • Prayer is Hard (Catechism study, worksheet here)

  • Seven Last Words of Jesus (scripture study and discussion guide, worksheet here)

  • CRS Bowl: put the bowl together and read through the handout (there are also videos online)

  • World Prayer (on a world map, color a country, learn its name, and pray for the people who live there)

  • Pipe Cleaner Prayer (shape a pipe cleaner into a symbol for someone you want to pray for, and attach a handwritten prayer to your project)
