This week, we will explore the Catholic Social Teaching (CST).
Large Group Activity: Around the World with CST
Choose a country to visit and read its CST lesson: Haiti, Vietnam, Zambia, The Philippines, Democratic Republic of Congo, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.
Read the story (usually on p. 3 of the PDF), and complete the activity (usually on page 5 or 7 depending on the student’s age).
SAINT OF THE WEEK:
Prayers of the Week:
Because Mother Teresa had special compassion for the dying, this week, we pray for all those who have died.
St. Francis’s prayer is also relevant this week.
Breakout Options:
Read the CST comic book together as a family and discuss the questions as you go.
Read the 12 statements from the CST in Scripture worksheet. Then, cut them apart to see who can put them back in order the fastest.
Write the CST principles on the matching part of the tree.
Read each page on the How to Live CST booklet, then write or draw a way you can live this Catholic Social Teaching today.
Complete the CST Encyclical booklet using the Encyclical posters (see below).
EUCHARISTIC MIRACLES
This week’s miracle happened in Egypt.
