Classroom Sessions 6-12

Grades 6-8

Beginning next class, we will be using Lifeteen’s EDGE curriculum. For this weekend, pick one of the videos (below) and then answer these questions:

  • Write 3 things/ideas you learned or find relatable.

  • Sum it up in one sentence: What’s the main lesson Joel is trying to teach?

  • What is Joel’s challenge for the week? How does the Gospel apply to you?

Grades 9-12

Read through this PDF and answer these questions:

  • What happened to you at your baptism? (theologically, based on the reading, but you can also share a personal story— ask your parents about your baptism day).

  • What 4 things did early Christians do to follow Jesus? (see book p. 6 or Acts 2:42-47) …and how do we do these things today?

  • Chapter 2 talks about St. Stephen’s witness to the faith, and that he had a “face like an angel.” When bible characters encounter angels, they usually freak out- what does the angel almost always say to them? In your opinion, what do you think angels actually look like?

  • Read Acts chapter 7. Write a quick list of highlights of Stephen’s speech.

  • Who oversees Stephen’s execution? (Acts 7:58 and 8:1-3). What do we know about this person, based on these verses?
