Discuss or Journal:
• If you could have been born any place in the world, where would you choose?
• What stands out to you the most about the places where Jesus lived and visited?
• When thinking about Jesus and His life, what difference does it make for you to see the places where Jesus lived and visited?
• Even though Jesus lived in a different place and time than us, what influence has He had on your life? If the youth struggle to answer this question, help them think of basic things like the fact that they are at an Edge Night right now.
Eighth-Grade Optional Alternate Questions:
• Have you ever considered whether or not Jesus was a real, historical person? If so, why?
• What makes it difficult to care about who Jesus was and what He did?
• What inspires you to care about who Jesus was and what He did?
High School (grades 9-12)

Discuss or journal:
What do we know about Paul’s conversion? Who was involved? (see Acts chapter 9)
How did Ananias respond to Paul’s conversion— initially and during the process?
Read Acts 9:18-19. How do Paul’s actions resonate with the sacraments we have today?
What hardships did Paul face? See 2 Cor 11:24-28 and make a little list.
Read 2 Cor 12:7-10. No one knows what Paul’s “affliction” might have been (lingering temptation, speech impediment, physical deformity, illness, relationship difficulties). God’s grace allows us to face difficulties with courage. How have you seen God’s grace working in your life?
What do you think the most important experience or event in Paul’s life that he would want to share with others? After you answer, read 2 Cor 15:3-10.
